About Us

Cherry Limeade: A Sasharcy Zine is a collaborative fanzine dedicated to one of the fan favourite ships, Sasharcy which features Marcy and Sasha. We aim to explore the bond as well as the development of these characters throughout different stages during the show. This Project is brought to you by 14 amazingly talented moderators as well as various artists and writers. All proceeds will be going to Care for Gaza!

Contributor Application Guide

NOTE: This page will change depending on which stage of the Zine's Schedule we are on

Looking to be apart of the team? You're in luck! From June 10th - August 19th we will be opening our Contributor applications! Before applying, please take a look at the following guidelines in order to make sure you're up to the task!

General Guidelines:- All contributors must be at minimum 15 years old or older.
- All applicants must provide an active social media account from one of the following: Twitter, Tumblr, or Instagram.
- If you support proshipping, lolicon, racism, antisemitism, homophobia, transphobia, acephobia, slurs, any kind of phobia under the sun, you will be blacklisted.
- No submission may contain the above topics or mature topics. Mature topics include: extreme violence, extreme gore, suicide, self-harm, addiction, drug abuse, alcoholism, domestic violence, abuse, etc.
- Mods reserve the right to strike any applicants from consideration for inappropriate behavior.
- This zine will have the possibility of collaboration between contributors and will require cooperation w/ the mod team throughout the entire process. Failure to do this and the mistreatment of others will result in an automatic strike from the zine.
- All examples for applications must be entered into their corresponding fields and be accessible to view by mods. Failure to do so will result in being dropped from consideration in the zine (please refer to the specific guidelines applications under the section you are applying for for more details).
- Any contributor who leaks information about the zine work process and contents without mod permission will be banned. All works and WIPs will be considered confidential until given mod permission!Page Artist Guidelines:- Three examples are required! We are accepting example links from: Deviantart, Artstation, Google Drive, Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter.
- If submitting an example from Google Drive, the file must be accessible to anyone with a link! Mods cannot view the file if it is set to be viewable by only your email.
- Two examples must be Amphibia related!
- Two examples must be full illustrations with at least one character and a detailed background. We will be critiquing your work based on your composition, color work, character detail, expressions, posing, and storytelling.
- We heavily encourage but do not require one of your examples to be focused on Sasharcy, as this is a Sasharcy zine.
- If you are wishing to do a spread or comic, please select the options as well as providing an example for each of your work. The comic example must be a minimum of two pages, w/ completed lines, colors, and dialogue.
- Art portfolios are not required but highly encouraged! Accepted portfolio formats are: Google Drive, carrd, or a professional portfolio website.
- There is the possibility to volunteer to illustrate spot art for writers’ fics, on top of your designated page art. This is entirely optional, but will require cooperation. If you are unable to complete the spot art, you are required to notify a mod and the writer you collaborated with.
- If you are unable to meet the hard deadlines for the project, you must notify a mod for an extension. Failure to communicate and/or meeting the extension deadlines will result in being removed from the zine as a contributor.
- General rules apply! No NSFW, proship, or mature content will be accepted and submitting such will result in an automatic blacklisting.Merch Artist Guidelines:- Three examples are required! We are accepting example links from: Deviantart, Artstation, Google Drive, Tumblr, Instagram, or Twitter.

- We also encourage at least two different forms of merch for examples, such as a sticker sheet and charm design. This is not required.
- One example is required to be an Amphibia-focused example! It is not required but heavily encouraged that the Amphibia example is also Sasharcy-focused.
- Art portfolios are not required but heavily encouraged! Accepted portfolio formats are: Google Drive, Carrd, Artstation, or a professional portfolio website!
- There will be the possibility to volunteer for extra merch designs, such as stretch goals or order bonuses. This is entirely voluntary and not required, but will be expected to be submitted in check-ins alongside your main assignments.
- If you are unable to meet the hard deadlines for this project, you must notify a mod for an extension. Failure to communicate and/or meeting the extension deadlines will result in being removed from the zine as a contributor.
- General rules apply! No NSFW, proship, or mature content will be accepted and submitting such will result in an automatic blacklisting.Writer Guidelines:- Three examples are required! Accepted links are: Google Docs/Drive, Archive of our Own (AO3), Fanfiction.Net, Wattpad, Tumblr, Dreamwidth, and .txt files. AO3, Google Drive, and Tumblr are preferred!
- Minimum one example is required to be Amphibia-focused!
Examples including Sasha, Marcy, and/or Sasharcy are heavily encouraged but not required.
At least two examples are required to be fic excerpts between 500-1500 words.
- One example is required to be a full completed fic, with no word count limit. It is heavily encouraged but not required that this example be 3,000 words, to match the zine word limit.
- Collaboration with an artist for fic spot art will be an optional possibility, but will require cooperation. Please communicate with a mod if you are unable to communicate with your collab artist or feel that you cannot work with them anymore.
- Writing applications will include a section for pitching fic prompts for the zine, with a minimum of two pitches being required. We are aiming for the full scope of the Sasharcy timeline, from pre-Amphibia to the epilogue, so please do not be afraid to include variety.
- For pitches, Sasharcy being the main focus will be a requirement. If you would like to include other characters or even sneaky nods to Sashannarcy, this will be allowed so long as it is not the focus in your pitch/fic.
- Canon divergence is allowed, but canon-typical pitches will be prioritized. Any AUs that fully take place out of canon, such as an Owl House crossover AU, will not be allowed.

What is a zine?A zine, short for "magazine" is a collection of art and writing put all together in a book. Most fanzines come with merch such as charms, stickers, prints etc.Is this a physical or digital Zine?The zine will be available to purchase both physically and digitally! All physical orders will automatically be granted access to the digital bundle.Will Contributors be compensated in any way?We're aiming to provide contributors with free physical copies of the zine as well as the merch depending on sales! Otherwise we will be offering them at production costs to all Contributors.Is this a Charity Zine or a Profit Zine?Cherry Limeade is a Charity zine! All proceeds will be going to Care for Gaza!Is there a minimum age limit for Contributors?Yes, due to schedule being the iron standard, we have made the minimum age of contributors 15. If you are currently 14, you might still be an eligible contributor as long as you're birthday is during or before the zine's work period (September)Will there be Canon divergence in this zine?This is a canon-focused zine, w/ canon divergence allowed! AUs that take place within canon are welcome, but canon will take priority.
